Oddities & Rarities # 1 is a compilation by the Norwegian band Ulver . It was released as a download on Jester Records in 2012 .

Creation and publication

At the end of 2012, Ulver again expressed their dissatisfaction with the music industry and announced that they would in future increasingly take care of the - especially digital - distribution of their music themselves. In the course of this, they made a compilation of pieces that had appeared on tribute albums or soundtracks available for download. The band's own webshop was closed again at Christmas 2013 and the compilation has not been available since.

reception

“I'm still realistic on this release: if you are not into Ulver, you won't feel excited. If you are into the first era ulver, you will feel a bit more desperate. If you are late-era Ulver enthousiast, you probably know most of the songs. Still worth a listen for those who are not fed up by Ulver covers, and by those who have never heard about the Uno soundtrack. ”

“I'm still realistic about this release: If you're not interested in Ulver, you won't be enthusiastic. Anyone interested in the early ulvers will be a little more desperate. If you are a fan of the late Ulver, you probably know most of the songs. It's still worth listening to for those who haven't had enough of Ulver covers and for those who haven't heard of the Uno soundtrack. "
