The A22 is an important road in Kazakhstan in the north of the country. The road is quite a long east-west route from Karabutak to Qostanai .

Street description

The A22 connects the M32 at Karabutak with the M36 at Qostanai and is the only road between western and northern Kazakhstan. Parts of the route run near the border with Russia . Most of the places on the route leading to Karabutak in the second half are in a temperate steppe, such as the larger mining town of Rudny . The southern part is more desert-like, with limited cultivation. The northern part is dominated by agriculture. The A22 runs in both north-south and east-west directions. In the town of Ordzhonikidze it crosses the A23. In Qostanai it forms the western bypass of the city. The A22 is an extension A21of Petropavl and forms a primary route for east-west traffic that does not cross Russia.

history

The A22 was unnumbered in 2011. It is unclear what number the street before was. Between 2000 and 2005 the southern part of the road in the province of Aqtöbe was renewed.
