The A16 is an important road in Kazakhstan , located in the middle of the country. The road is a long north-south route from Zhezkazgan to Petropavl.
Street description
The A16 begins in the city of Zhezkazgan in the middle of Kazakhstan. It crosses the A17 here. The street then passes the town of Nikolsky. The A16 then runs north through a hilly steppe-like , almost desert-like area. The route runs pretty much parallel to the Ishim River . To the west of Ruzaevka, it crosses the important M36. The road then continues northeast and ends shortly before Petropawl on the A1.
history
The A16 was renumbered in 2011. The road follows the former A342 over its entire length. The A16 is of strategic importance as there is significant mining around Zhezkazgan and it is one of the few roads in central Kazakhstan.
