Course of the road

The A33 is a trunk road in Kazakhstan , in the west of the country. The road leads from Dossor via Qulsary to Aktau on the Caspian Sea .

Street description

The A33 begins in Dossor on the A27 and ends in the port of Aqtau on the A35 . This winding route doesn't change the fact that it is one of the most important roads in this part of Kazakhstan. It is the only way through the barren desert of western Kazakhstan. The road leads through spectacular landscapes and is not yet asphalted in parts.

history

The A33 was renumbered in 2011. The road is of strategic importance because it connects Aqtau with the rest of the country. Aqtau is the only port in Kazakhstan on the Caspian Sea and an important area for the economy as oil is produced there.
