The United States Air Force Office of Special Investigations , the official abbreviation AFOSI , but also unofficially abbreviated OSI , is an authority that reports directly to the Secretary of the Air Force and is based in the Russel Knox Building on the Marine Corps Base in Quantico . The AFOSI commander is Brigadier General Terry L. Bullard.

The goals of AFOSI are:

  • Protect sensitive technologies and information
  • Detecting or recognizing and mitigating dangers
  • Offer special services worldwide
  • Head of important criminal investigations
  • Offensive action against foreign opponents and threats

The cornerstones of AFOSI are to take action against crime, keep secrets, use intelligence services and act on the Internet.
