Aarón , full name Aarón Martín Caricol (born April 22, 1997 in Montmeló ), is a Spanish football player . The left-back is under contract with 1. FSV Mainz 05 .

Career

society

Aarón began his career in his native city of Montmeló . In 2005 he joined the youth team at Espanyol Barcelona . In March 2015 he made his debut for the B team of Espanyol in the Segunda División B . He was in the first team's squad for the first time in August 2016 and finally made his debut in the Primera División in October . At the end of the 2016/17 season he had 30 first division appearances in which he remained without a goal. In the 2017/18 season , Aarón was used in 32 games in the Primera División and was again without a hit.

In August 2018, Aarón was awarded with a purchase option to the German Bundesliga club 1. FSV Mainz 05 . At the beginning of November 2018, the purchase option took effect with his tenth competitive game (nine Bundesliga and one DFB-Pokal appearance), whereby he received a contract with a term until June 30, 2023.

National team

Aarón played for Spanish national youth teams. He took part in the 2015 European Championship with the U-19 team and became European champion. Aarón was used in all five games.

In September 2017, he made his debut in a friendly against Italy for the Spanish U-21s .
