Adolf Eduard Friedrich Johannes von Warnstedt (born April 9, 1813 in Schleswig , † September 20, 1897 in Göttingen ) was a German civil servant and politician .

origin

His parents were chamberlain Franz Ludwig von Warnstedt (born June 1, 1783; † March 18, 1868) and his wife Lucie (born February 7, 1786 in Altona ; † November 26, 1870 in Itzehoe ), née. Matthiessen. His father was the owner of the noble estates Loitmark and Espenis.

Life

Adolf von Warnstedt attended the grammar school in Plön and the pedagogy in Ilfeld . He studied in Kiel and Göttingen and received his doctorate as Dr. jur. and Dr. phil. He then held various positions in Copenhagen , Schleswig, Kiel , Merseburg and Hanover and then became a Privy Councilor and Secretary General in the Board of Trustees of the University of Göttingen .

From 1848 to 1851 Adolf von Warnstedt was a member of the Schleswig-Holstein state assembly . In 1867 he was a member of the constituent Reichstag of the North German Confederation in the constituent parliament of Schleswig-Holstein 5 ( Dithmarschen , Steinburg ) . There he belonged to the faction of the federal constitutional association .

In 1867 he was elected an honorary member of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences .

family

He married Countess Anna Luise Agnes von Holstein-Holsteinborg (April 12, 1833 - February 20, 1912) in Kiel on December 5, 1857 , a daughter of Canon Heinrich Christoph von Holstein and his wife Mathilde Susanne, née Countess von Rantzau from Rastorf .

The couple had four children:

The war graves of his son Konrad and his wife Elisabeth, née von Rauch, in the old cemetery in Schwerin could be rebuilt after 1990.
