The African Airlines Association ( French Association des compagnies aériennes africaines ), AFRAA , is the largest representation of airlines in Africa . The organization was founded in 1968 in Accra ( Ghana ) and has its headquarters in Nairobi ( Kenya ). The main goal is to strengthen cooperation between African airlines.
The current (as of September 2019) managing director of AFRAA is the Mauritian Somas Appavou .
