Ahırlı is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Konya . Since a regional reform in 2014, the municipality ( Belediye ) is congruent with the district (İlçe). All previous villages ( köy ) are now districts ( Mahalle ) of the municipality. The city is located about 80 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Konya .

The district is located in the south of the province. It borders on Seydişehir and Yalıhüyük to the west, Akören to the northeast, Bozkır to the southeast and the province of Antalya to the southwest . The D-340 road, which runs from Beyşehir in the northwest to Mut in the southeast, runs through the district northeast of the main town . In the southwest of the district there are foothills of the Taurus mountain range Geyik Dağı with the 2084 meter high Tınaztepe and the Çobankara Tepesi with 2212 meters. About ten kilometers north of the main town, Beyşehir Kanalı, flowing from west to east, forms the Mavi Boğaz gorge .
