Tuzlukçu is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Konya . Since a regional reform in 2014 , the municipality ( Belediye ) is congruent with the district (İlçe). All previous villages ( köy ) are now districts ( Mahalle ) of the municipality. The city is located about 100 kilometers northwest of the provincial capital Konya .

The district is located in the northwest of the province. It borders in the northeast on Yunak , in the southeast on Ilgın , in the southwest on Akşehir and in the northwest on the province Afyonkarahisar and the Akşehir Gölü . The D-695 highway runs through the district and leads from Polatlı in the north to the Mediterranean coast at Manavgat . From there a road branches off to the east, which continues to Ilgın via the main town. The district belongs to the Akşehir Plain (Akşehir Ovası) , in the north lies the 1,415 meter high Yukarıkale Tepesi , which is part of the Gölcük Dağı mountain range to the north . In the northwest, the district borders on Lake Akşehir Gölü.
