Derebucak is a city and a district in the Turkish province of Konya . Since a regional reform in 2014 , the municipality ( Belediye ) is congruent with the district (İlçe). All previous villages ( köy ) are now districts ( Mahalle ) of the municipality. The city is located about 100 kilometers southwest of the provincial capital Konya .

The district is located in the southwest of the province. It borders Beyşehir to the north, Seydişehir to the east and the provinces of Antalya and Isparta to the south and west . A country road connects the city with Beyşehir in the north and in the south with the trunk road D-695, which continues to the Mediterranean coast . In the north of the district lies the Akdağ mountain range with the same name, 2403 meter high summit, the Küpesivrisi Tepesi (2525 meters) and the Büyükgözet Dağı (2529 meters) on the border with Seydişehir and in the center of the mountains Aranlardağı Tepesi with 1678 meters and Dikenlidağ Tepesi with a height of 1828 meters. The Kocadere River (also Kaşıkçıbel Deresi ) crosses the district from south to north . The Kocaçay Deresi , which is dammed up to the Derebucak Barajı in the south , flows into it, it flows further north into the Beyşehir Gölü lake .
