Cihanbeyli ( Kurdish also Canbeg) is a district of the Turkish province of Konya and its capital in Central Anatolia. Other older names are İnevi and Esbkeşan. The current name comes from a nomadic Kurdish tribe who came to this area from Adıyaman , Elazığ and Malatya in the 18th century .

The district has a total of 56,234 inhabitants (as of 2013). Besides Cihanbeyli there are 13 other places with a mayor's office ( Belediye ). The 4,109 km² district is located in the north of Konya and borders on the provinces of Aksaray and Ankara . The Tuz Gölü occupies part of Cihanbeyli.
