The Akulliit Partiiat ( Greenlandic for "Party of the Middle") was a political party in Greenland .
history
The Akulliit Partiiat was founded in January 1991 by Bjarne Kreutzmann from the candidate association of the citizen list. He had previously been a member of the liberal Atassut . The party ran for parliamentary elections in the same year and received almost ten percent of the vote and thus two seats. Four years later, the party lost a third of its electorate, but continued to win two seats thanks to the increase in parliamentary seats. The last time the party stood in the 1998 Folketing election, Bjarne Kreutzmann received only 99 votes. Then the party disappeared again and Bjarne Kreutzmann stood up for the social democratic Siumut .
Political orientation
The party focused primarily on developing and improving the Greenland economy and was intended to be a basin for those who were not satisfied with the Atassut policies.
