The Kattusseqatigiit Partiiat ( Greenlandic for "party of the union, the unanimous") was a political party in Greenland .

history

The party was first established by Anthon Frederiksen as a non-party candidate alliance in the local elections in 1993 under the name Attaviittut Kattusseqatigiit . The candidate association was able to get a seat straight away. In 1999 the group quadrupled its result and won four seats. Afterwards the voter numbers fell again. It was not until 2005 that the Kattusseqatigiit Partiaat was founded as an official party. In 2009, Anthon Frederiksen was given a ministerial post, which is the party's only government participation. In the 2013 parliamentary elections she was only able to achieve 1.1% of the vote, which meant she lost her last seat. It then dissolved in 2014, with founder and chairman Anthon Frederiksen transferring to the newly founded Partii Naleraq .

Political orientation

The Kattusseqatigiit Partiiat can be classified as conservative and populist and stood for a moderate economy-based policy.
