Albert Bocklage

Albert Bocklage (* 1938 in Vechta ) is a German painter and sculptor .

Albert Bocklage studied painting and glass painting at the Düsseldorf Art Academy and in Krefeld from 1959 to 1964 . Since completing his studies he has been working as a freelance artist; From 1972 to 1989 he taught art at the Lohne grammar school . His studio is in the east of Vechta.

One focus of Albert Bocklage's work is the design of sacred spaces. By 2012 he had created or renovated windows in more than 50 churches, chapels, etc. throughout north-west Germany. Also altars and other sacred objects were designed by him. In addition, Albert Bocklage created a large number of sculptures , mainly made of bronze , and made paintings, mostly with acrylic paints .
