Alexander Alexandrowitsch Kiritschenko ( Russian Александр Александрович Кириченко ; born August 13, 1967 in Kiev ) is a former Soviet-Russian cyclist .

Kiritschenko was a track cyclist and specialist in the 1000 m time trial . In 1988 he was Olympic champion in the 1000 m time trial in a time of 1: 04.499 min at the Summer Olympics in Seoul wearing the jersey of the Soviet national team. Shortly before that, he had become the Soviet champion and had beaten Konstantin Chrabzow , who was actually already nominated for the Olympics and had to give up his starting place to Kirichenko after the championship. In 1989 he was third in the same discipline at the cycling world championships , 1990 world champion. After that he was active for a few years without any major success; at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona, ​​he was twelfth.
