Alice Franz

Alice Franz-Engelbrecht (born May 19, 1912 in Krefeld ; † September 23, 2011 in Munich ) was a German actress and voice actress .

Life

From 1937 she appeared again and again in films, for the first time she had a supporting role as a hotel employee in When Women Are Silent and in Strong Hearts in the Storm , she embodied an insurgent communist from the rolling command. She was also seen in well-known television series such as Lindenstrasse (1991–1992), Forsthaus Falkenau (1993) and Tatort (1998).

Since the early 1970s she has also worked as a voice actress. In the animated children's series Heidi , Sindbad (1975) and Maja Biene (1975), she took over speaking roles from more mature female characters. She also dubbed several films.

In the television series The Simpsons , she spoke as the successor to Margit Weinert , Agnes Skinner in seasons 14 & 15 and was then replaced by Eva Maria Lahl from season 16 . Already in the first seasons she synchronized numerous characters.

Alice Franz was married to the sculptor Gen Golch-Engelbrecht . From this marriage a son and a daughter, the actress Constanze Engelbrecht , emerged. Alice Franz was the grandmother of Julie Engelbrecht . She died on September 23, 2011 at the age of 99 and was buried on September 30, 2011 in the Nordfriedhof in Munich.
