history
After the dissolution of the Bordesholm monastery in 1566 in the course of the Reformation , the secular office of Bordesholm emerged from the associated areas, owned by the Gottorf dukes . As a result of the Prussian administrative reform in 1867, the office was dissolved and replaced by the new Kiel district with its seat in Bordesholm. This circle was later dissolved again, the current office emerged from one of its 18 administrative districts.
In 1947 the office comprised the eight municipalities of Grevenkrug, Hoffeld, Loop, Mühbrook, Schmalstede, Schönbek, Sören and Wattenbek as the Bordesholm-Land office .
With the district and office reform of 1970, the Bruges office of the Plön district was dissolved. On June 1, 1970, the five municipalities of Bissee, Bruges, Groß Buchwald, Negenharrie and Reesdorf joined the Bordesholm-Land office. The other three communities Böhnhusen , Schönhorst and Techelsdorf joined the Flintbek office .
Since July 1, 2007, the municipalities of the previous office of Bordesholm-Land and the municipality of Bordesholm have formed the office of Bordesholm .
