Andrei Wladimirowitsch Tarassenko ( Russian Андрей Владимирович Тарасенко ; born September 11, 1968 in Novosibirsk , Russian SFSR , Soviet Union ) is a former Russian ice hockey player . His son Vladimir is also a professional ice hockey player.
Career
From 1984 to 1986 Tarassenko played for HK Sibir Novosibirsk . From 1987 to 1989 he spent two seasons with SKA Novosibirsk . In 1989 Tarassenko switched to Lokomotive Yaroslavl . In 1996 the striker was signed by HK Lada Tolyatti . In 2001 the attacker returned to his hometown. In 2003 he ran for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod . Tarassenko ended his career in Kazakhstan with HK Kazachmys Satpajew .
International
For Russia Tarassenko took part in the 1995 World Cup. He was also in his country's squad at the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer . He also won the Izvestia Cup with the Sbornaja in 1994 .
As a trainer
Andrei Tarassenko began his coaching career in 2007 as assistant coach of the second team of the HK Sibir Novosibirsk , which participated in the Pervaya League . At the end of December 2008, he was promoted temporarily to head coach of the first team.
At the beginning of the 2009/10 season he was assistant coach to Vladimir Semenov at Sibir before he was appointed head coach at the end of October. Tarassenko looked after the professional team of Sibir until the end of 2011, before he moved back into the second tier and has since been employed as an assistant coach.
In September 2015 he was honored for his services to the club with a jersey under the ceiling of the home stadium.
