Anima Eterna Brugge
Anima Eterna Brugge (also Anima Eterna ) is an international orchestra based in Bruges in the field of historical performance practice under the direction of Jos van Immerseel .
history
Jos van Immerseel founded the ensemble in 1987. He conducts it from the conductor's desk or from the piano . Midori Seiler is one of the first violinists , Sergei Istomin is the first cellist. The singers Thomas E. Bauer , Roberta Invernizzi , Philippe Jaroussky , Harry van der Kamp , Claron McFadden and Markus Schäfer as well as the pianists Pascal Amoyel , Ronald Brautigam and Arthur Schoonderwoerd have performed as guest soloists with Anima Eterna Brugge .

Anima Eterna resides in the Concertgebouw Brugge . Since 2010 it has been ensemble associé de l'Opéra de Dijon (partner ensemble of the Dijon Opera ).
Depending on the requirements, the size of the ensemble ranges between 7 and 80 musicians. For choral works, a choir is included under the same name.
In the choice of the musical text , the respective instruments and the playing style, Anima Eterna tries to follow the intentions and guidelines of the composer as closely as possible.
More than two dozen recordings on sound and image carriers bear testimony to Anima Eterna's work. Concerts take place at the traditional venues (e.g. BOZAR Brussels) and also on extended tours (e.g. Philharmonie Berlin , Herkulessaal der Münchner Residenz, Liederhalle Stuttgart , Festspielhaus Bregenz ).
repertoire
The repertoire of Anima Eterna Brugge, which has been cultivated since 1989, spans a time horizon of more than 500 years in music history, over 200 works by almost 70 composers have been performed so far. The focus is on music of the Viennese classic ( Haydn , Mozart , Beethoven ), romantic ( Schubert , Berlioz , Liszt , Strauss ) and impressionism ( Debussy , Ravel ) and early modern music ( Poulenc ).
