Anne-Lise Bakken (born March 30, 1952 in Oslo ) is a Norwegian politician of the social democratic Arbeiderpartiet (Ap). She was the consumer and administration minister of her country from 1986 to 1988. Between 1977 and 1989 she was a member of parliament in Storting .

Life

education and profession

Bakken graduated from Oslo University with a degree in Political Science and Sociology in 1977 . After her time in politics, she worked in the consulting area from 1989 and between 1991 and 1997 as a lecturer in the field of market and society.

Political career

Between 1977 and 1981 Anne-Lise Bakken was deputy chairwoman of the youth organization Arbeidernes Ungdomsfylking (AUF). Bakken represented the then province of Hedmark in the Norwegian national parliament , the Storting , from 1977 to 1989 . She was a member of the Justice Committee until September 1981, then the Social Committee until September 1985. From October 1985 to 1986 she was chairman of the control committee and at the same time deputy chairman of the consumer and administrative committee.

On May 9, 1986, she was appointed Minister of Consumption and Administration in the Brundtland II government. She held this office until June 13, 1988. The resignation from the government took place when the Minister of State Gro Harlem Brundtland dismissed her after Bakken had given the state personnel manager responsibility for the controversial wages of the bank manager Inger Prebsensen . She then took over her mandate in Storting, which was dormant because of her membership in the government, where Bakken was finally a member of the finance committee until 1989.

From 2003 to 2007 she was a member of Hamar's local parliament . In 2007 her candidacy for mayor's office failed.
