Anton Prakapenja ( Belarusian Антон Пракапеня , English Anton Prakapenia ; born September 26, 1988 in Homel , Belarusian SSR , USSR ) is a Belarusian handball player .
Career
Anton Prakapenja played for Brest GK Meschkow in the EHF Champions League for the first time internationally in the 2007/08 season . Until the 2012/13 season he remained loyal to the regional capitals with one break in the 2009/10 season and won the Belarusian championship in 2008 and the cup in 2009 and 2011. In 2010 he even won the double with HC Dinamo Minsk . During this time he took part three times ( 2007/08 , 2008/09 and 2009/10 ) in the Champions League, four times ( 2008/09 , 2009/10 , 2010/11 and 2012/13 ) in the EHF Cup and once ( 2011 / 12 ) took part in the EHF European Cup Winners' Cup. In the regular season of the 2015/16 season , Prakapenja scored 122 goals and thus became the top scorer ex aequo with Tobias Schopf .
In 2013, the 1.96 meter tall back player moved to Poland to SPR Chrobry Głogów. After only one year he moved on to Handball Tirol in the Handball League Austria . After the 2017/18 season he joined the German second division club HSC 2000 Coburg . For the 2019/20 season he moved to the newly promoted HSG Nordhorn-Lingen .
So far, Prakapenja has played 32 international matches for Belarus , scoring 63 goals. He was in the preliminary squad for the 2014 European Championship in Denmark.
