Avernakø Kirke

Avernakø Sogn is one with the same name, south of Fyn ( dt. : Funen ) located island Avernakø identical parish community ( Dan. : Sogn ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Sallinge Herred in what was then Svendborg Amt , then to Faaborg Municipality in Fyns Amt , which was merged into Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

The island and thus the parish has 97 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2020). Avernakø Kirke is the center of community life.
