Kværndrup Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to Harde Sunds Herred in what was then Svendborg Amt , then to Ryslinge Kommune in Fyns Amt , which was merged into Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

2437 inhabitants live in the parish, 1716 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). In the parish is the church "Kværndrup Kirke".

Neighboring municipalities are Krarup Sogn in the west, Herringe Sogn in the north-west, Rings Sogn and Ryslinge Sogn in the north and Gislev Sogn in the north-east , and Gudbjerg Sogn in the south-east of Svendborg in the east and Lunde Sogn and Stenstrup Sogn in the south .

Attractions

The Egeskov Castle is a castle from the 16th century. With wall towers, trenches, treetops paths, gardens, mazes and playground . It is open daily in the summer season and offers u. a. with guided tours insights into the world of the Middle Ages .
