Sønder Nærå Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 it belonged to Harde Åsum Herred in what was then Svendborg Office , then to Årslev Municipality in Fyns Office , which was merged into Faaborg-Midtfyn Municipality in the Syddanmark region on January 1, 2007 as part of the municipal reform .

In the parish of 2,842 people live (as at 1st January 2020), most of it inhabitants of the former municipalities Center Årslev . In the parish are the churches “Sankt Mikaels Kirke” and “Sønder Nærå Valmighedskirke”.

Neighboring municipalities are Rolfsted Sogn in the east, Søllinge Sogn in the south-west, Sønder Højrup Sogn in the south-west and Årslev Sogn in the west , and Højby Sogn in the north- west of Odense, Højby Sogn in the north- west and Allerup Sogn and Fraugde Sogn in the north .
