Herringe Kirke

Herringe Sogn is a parish municipality ( Danish : Sogn ) on the island of Fyn ( German : Funen ) in southern Denmark . Until 1970 she belonged to the Harde Sallinge Herred in the then Svendborg Office , then to the rings municipality in the Fyns office , which was merged into the Faaborg-Midtfyn municipality in the Syddanmark region as part of the municipal reform on January 1, 2007 .

360 inhabitants live in the parish, 201 of them in the parish (as of January 1, 2020). The church "Herringe Kirke" is located in the parish.

Neighboring communities are in the north and east rings Sogn , in the southeast Kværndrup Sogn , in the south Krarup Sogn and in the west Espe Sogn .

The Herringe treasure hunt dates from the Viking Age (800-1050 AD) and was excavated in 2008 and 2009.
