The B Grupa 1951 was the second season of the second highest Bulgarian football league. It began on March 24, 1951 and ended on October 7, 1951.

The 12 teams competed against each other twice; once at home and once away. In order to create an equal relationship between the clubs from Sofia and the clubs outside of Sofia, the promotion / relegation system was changed. The champions and the two best teams that did not come from Sofia were promoted to the A Grupa .

Lokomotive Sofia as the second best Sofia club competed in two playoffs against the second worst placed Sofia team from A Grupa. The last four clubs were relegated to the third division.
