The B Grupa 2000/01 was the 52nd season of the second highest Bulgarian football league. It started on August 5, 2000 and ended on May 27, 2001.

18 clubs started the season. They played two rounds against each other, divided into a first half of the season. The champion and runner-up were promoted directly to A Grupa , while the third was able to advance through the play-offs.

After 13 games, FK Shumen withdrew and was the first to be relegated. The completed games were then canceled. After the winter break, Bdin Widin and Dorostol Silistra also moved back. The remaining games were rated 3-0 for the opponents. Overall, the last six clubs relegated to the third-class W Grupa.
