The B Grupa 1980/81 was the 32nd season of the second highest Bulgarian football league. It began on August 16, 1980 and ended on June 21, 1981.

The 44 teams were geographically divided into two groups. They competed against each other twice on 42 match days, divided into a first half and a second half. The two group winners were promoted to the A Grupa . The last two clubs were relegated from the north group, the last four teams from the south group.
