The B Grupa 1968/69 was the 20th season of the second highest Bulgarian football league. It began on August 11, 1968 and ended on June 28, 1969.

In January 1969 there was a reform of the football clubs in Bulgaria. Some clubs were merged, others dissolved. Septemwri Sofia CSKA Sofia from Grupa A an and Spartak Varna merged with Lokomotive Varna to ZSK Spartak Varna . FC Metalurg Pernik merged with Minjor Pernik from the A group to form Krakra Pernik and athlete Kremikowzi joined Levski-Spartak Sofia .

The 36 teams were divided into two groups. They competed twice against each other, divided into a round trip and a second half. In the second half of the season, after several mergers, only 16 teams played the season to the end. The teams were credited with a 3-0 win for the two failed match days. The two group winners were promoted to the A group , while the two sixteenth were relegated to the W group.
