Bastian Prize

The Bastian Prize or Bastian Prize is the annual award of the Norwegian Translators Association for outstanding translations into Norwegian in the field of fiction .

The Bastian Prize was established in 1951, and since 1984 there has also been a prize for translated children's and young adult literature. The bonus of the award consists of a statue of a small horse created by the Norwegian sculptor Ørnulf Bast . The name of the statue is derived from this: «Bastian».
