Batouchovice (German Batauchowitz also Batouchowitz ) is a district of the municipality Bochovice in the Czech Republic . It is located ten kilometers southwest of Velké Meziříčí and belongs to the Okres Třebíč .

Batouchovice is located in the Křižanovská vrchovina ( Krischanauer Uplands ) in the south of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands . The village is located on a left tributary to the Bochovický creek in the area of ​​the Třebíčsko Nature Park. To the east rise the Telečkov (604 m nm) and the Na Hlavinách (606 m nm) and southwest of the Bochovec (604 m nm).

Bathuchowicz was first mentioned in writing in 1381, when Vladike Přibík Ostruh von Črčín - who bought the inheritance from John of Meziříč, who died in Apulia - gave Tomáš Hrb the festival with half a courtyard , four Zinshufen, meadows and forests sold. In 1385 Hrb sold this property to Pavlík von Újezd. The other part of the Batuschowicz estate was given by Přibík Ostruh in 1390 to the Benedictine monastery Třebíč , which took it over as an after fief . In 1399 Johann and Dorothea von Patuchowitz were mentioned as owners of various shares. Dorothea, the widow of Pavlík von Patuchowitz, took her son Niklas in 1406 in community property on half of their farm in Patuchowitz . Johann von Patuchowitz gave his wife Margarethe a morning gift on his part of the farm . In 1428 Niklas von Patuchowitz took over the maternal Freihof together with his wife Elisabeth. Andreas von Patuchowitz bought a share from Svařanov in 1437 and ten years later the entire village. The Knights of Patuchowitz, which can be documented until 1452, no longer had any possessions in Batouchovice.

After the destruction of the Třebíč monastery, the after fief Batouchovice was pledged together with the monastery property. In 1556 Vratislav von Pernstein inherited the Třebíč estates including the Batouchovice feudal estate. Two years later he had it intabulated on Burian Osovský von Doubravitz . His son Smil separated the feudal estate Batouchovice, which only consisted of the manor and two subordinate courtiers, from the Třebíč estates in 1576 and left it to the owner of the Namiescht estate , Johann the Elder . At that time the whole village of Batouchovice was desolate, only the manorial farm was still managed. Wallenstein soon sold the rule to Johann Baptist Verda von Verdenberg , who raised it to a county in 1630. Subsequent landlords were the lords of Enckevort from 1666 , then the Counts of Kufstein from 1743 and the Counts Haugwitz from 1752 . In the course of time, new small farms were created around the farm.

In 1842 the village of Batauchowitz or Batuchowice in the Iglauer Kreis consisted of 9 houses in which 51 people lived. In the village there was a newly built manorial hunter's house, a Meierhof and a brandy house. The parish and school location was Rudikau . From 1869 Batouchovice belonged to the Groß Meseritsch district . At that time the village had 71 inhabitants and consisted of 10 houses. On October 27, 1881 Heinrich von Haugwitz sold the large Batauchowitz estate 50,600 guilders each to Adolf Lieblich and the brothers Heinrich and Ludwig Heller from Iglau . After the First World War, part of the Meierhof was converted into a cooperative distillery. In the 1921 census, 99 people, 98 of them Czechs, lived in the village's 15 houses. In 1930 Batouchovice consisted of 17 houses and 80 inhabitants. Between 1939 and 1945 Batouchovice / Batouchowitz belonged to the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia . In 1950 Batouchovice had 86 inhabitants. In the course of the territorial reform and the repeal of the Okres Velké Meziříčí, the village came to the Okres Třebíč on July 1, 1960 . In 1961 the reorganization to Bochovice took place . In the 2001 census, 62 people lived in the 20 houses in the village.
