RapReviews |
The e-zine Laut.de rated Battle of the Sexes with three out of a possible five points. From the point of view of the editor Dani Fromm, Battle of the Sexes is “ manageable in terms of content ”, but offers “ good entertainment with plenty of humor. “The productions are characterized by“ 'Hey Ho' roar, chopped, screwed, pitched and mantra-like repeated lines ”, which creates a“ rousing and hypnotic sound ”. Exceptions are the “ creepy sing-a-long hookline ” I Know You Got A Man and the song Sex Room , which is “ exhausting excessively long ”. The majority of guest posts are rated poorly. For example, “ Hip Hop Barbie ” Nicki Minaj fades alongside Ludacris. Together with Monica, who takes on the vocal contribution to Can't Live with You , the rapper provides an " in its predictability largely superfluous example of the prevailing role distribution. "
