The Berufsakademie Nordhessen gGmbH was a private study facility in Bad Windungen . It was founded in 1999 as a study academy for computer science (SAI) and was the first professional academy in Hessen . Due to the expanded range of courses, it was later renamed the North Hesse vocational academy. The North Hesse University of Cooperative Education was already considered to be an “obsolete model” in 2012, as no new students were accepted in the technical fields of study since 2010 and in the health sector since 2011 due to financial difficulties.

The Berufsakademie Nordhessen gGmbH moved its headquarters to Saarbrücken on June 1, 2015 and has been operating there since then under the name "ISBA - Internationale Studien- und Berufsakademie gGmbH". It is not clear from public sources whether the academy still exists.

history

The vocational academy was based in Bad Wildungen ( Northern Hesse ). Further locations are in Frankenberg (Eder) , Bad Hersfeld and in Heppenheim in southern Hesse . The first international location of the vocational academy started its studies on November 1st, 2005 in Zagreb , furthermore on September 8th, 2008 the partner academy "academia nova" in Schwechat (Austria). 145 students are currently studying at the North Hesse University of Cooperative Education (as of January 2006).

In the Schwechat "academia nova" 2008, eight students began the course Economics computer science . Three graduates finished this in 2011. In the 2009 academic year, the Systems Engineering course was also offered there. Six students each started the two courses, of which one business IT specialist and two system engineers completed their studies in 2012. This ends the collaboration between the “academia nova” and the North Hesse vocational academy.

The courses in Logistics (Bachelor of Arts), Computational Process Engineering and Systems Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering) and Computer Science, Business Informatics were offered, and a Bachelor in Physiotherapy (Bachelor of Science) was planned.

In Heidelberg, Darmstadt, Lindau, Berlin and Erfurt, the F + U group of companies offered a vocational academy in the "International Business Administration" course in four subjects (industry and trade, banking and insurance, tax and auditing, and hotel and tourism management ).
