Bolinao

Bolinao is a municipality in the Philippine province of Pangasinan and is located on the South China Sea . Most of the people here make a living from fishing and agriculture . The flat and humid land is very suitable for growing rice . Tourism is developing only slowly, although there are many beaches in Baranggay Patar. There is also a lighthouse in Patar called the Cape Bolinao Lighthouse .

On March 15, 1646, the first of the five naval battles of La Naval de Manila , which went down in history as the victory over the Netherlands, took place in the waters off the municipality .
