Rosales is a municipality in the Philippine province of Pangasinan . It borders on the province of Nueva Ecija in the south and Tarlac in the west . The majority of the population lives from agriculture. In 2015, 63,081 people lived in the flat 72.8 km² area, which results in a population density of 866 inhabitants per km².
The Filipino national writer Francisco Sionil José has set a monument to his hometown with his five-volume Rosales Saga.
