San Carlos City is a city in the Philippine province of Pangasinan . In 2015 it had 188,571 inhabitants. The area is very flat. There is a Pangasinan State University campus in the community .
San Carlos City was called Binalatongan until 1765, the community was renamed San Carlos by the Spanish to erase the memory of the Palaris uprising (1762-1765).
