Brad Walker
Brad Walker (born June 21, 1981 in Aberdeen , South Dakota ) is an American track and field athlete and 2007 world champion in pole vault . After winning the silver medal at the 2005 World Championships in Helsinki , he won the 2006 World Indoor Championships in Moscow and the 2007 World Championships in Osaka .
At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing , Walker was the favorite in the race. However, he failed three times in the qualification at his starting height of 5.65 meters, so that he could not take part in the final Olympic battle because of his somersault zero .
