Brandegg is a place in the Wipptal in Tyrol and belongs to the municipality of Mutters in the Innsbruck-Land district . The stop of the place is called Brandeck .

geography

The small town is about 8 kilometers south of Innsbruck city ​​center , 3½ km south of Mutters, and another 1 km into the valley from Kreith . It is located at 1000  m above sea level. A. Height to the left above the Wipptal and the beginning of the Stubai Valley at the mouth of the Ruetz , at the foot of the Nederjoch  ( 2142  m above sea level ). The location represents the continuation of the terraced landscape of the low mountain range around Innsbruck .

The homestead has only 4 buildings, is no longer permanently inhabited and is therefore classified as a weekend settlement.

The Stubaitalbahn runs here before it turns into the Stubai. The place has its own Brandeck stop , which is mainly frequented by excursion guests.
