Brazlândia , officially Portuguese Região Administrativa de Brazlândia , is the administrative region RA IV and a city with 53,874 inhabitants in the northwest of Brasilia in the Brazilian federal district . The administrative region borders on Águas Lindas de Goiás , Padre Bernardo , Sobradinho II , Sobradinho , Brasília , Taguatinga and Ceilândia . The name of the settlement goes back to one of the first families to settle there with the name "Braz". Brazlândia is characterized by the cultivation of strawberries , guavas and tomatoes . The place is the third largest strawberry producer in Brazil. Brazlândia has the largest Japanese community in the Brazilian federal district because of the use of Japanese labor in cultivation.
