The Bruchwiesen nature reserve is located in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The 6.7 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1992 , extends northwest of Pferdefeld , which belongs to the city of Bad Sobernheim . The state road L 229 runs south .

The purpose of protection is the preservation and development of the area

• as a location of rare wild plants and plant communities that are threatened in their existence , in particular of grass grass , orchid occurrences and wet meadows
• as a habitat for endangered animal species
• for scientific reasons
