The Flachsberg nature reserve is located in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 5.5 ha area, which was placed under nature protection in 1980 , extends southeast of the local community Simmertal and west of the local community Martinstein . The B 41 runs along the southern edge of the area, and the Nahe flows not far to the south .

The protection purpose is the preservation of the Flax Mountain with its sub-Mediterranean dry grassland , its species-rich plant communities and as a location for rare plants for scientific reasons.
