The Ringberg nature reserve is located in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate on the southern slope of the 400 m high Ringberg in the North Palatinate Bergland .

The approximately 50 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1978 , extends northwest of the local community of Schweinschied . The Strüterbach flows on the western and southern edge of the area. District road K 67 runs not far to the west and south .

The protection purpose is the preservation of the characteristic peculiarity of the Ringberg with its oak , service tree and hornbeam forest, its sub- Mediterranean dry grassland and the relics of an oat meadow as well as the preservation of communities of valuable and rare plants for scientific reasons.
