The Stromberg nature reserve is located in the Bad Kreuznach district in Rhineland-Palatinate .

The approximately 5.5 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1982 , extends south of the local community of Bockenau . Not far to the west and south runs the state road L 108 and flows the Ellerbach .

The protection purpose is the preservation of the Stromberg with its rock formations , its dry grassland and rock salute societies, as well as the preservation of communities of valuable and threatened plants for scientific reasons.
