Rural meadows

The Landwiesen nature reserve is located in the Bad Kreuznach district and in the Rhein-Hunsrück district in Rhineland-Palatinate .
The 154.47 hectare area, which was placed under nature protection in 1994 , extends southeast of the local community of Sargenroth . The state road L 108 runs through the area .
The purpose of protection is the preservation and development of the biotopes that occur between the northern and central quartzithic ridge of the Soonwald and the source area of the Lametbach , here in particular the species-rich wet meadows , the typically developed grassy grass lawns and the oak , alder , birch and swamp forest .
