Bystrzyna (German Beustrin ) is a village in the Polish West Pomeranian Voivodeship . It belongs to the municipality Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) in the powiat Świdwiński .

Bystrzyna is located about five kilometers northeast of Świdwin on the Jezioro Bystrzyna Małe ( Klein Beustriner See ), two kilometers from the Voivodeship road No. 162 Kołobrzeg ( Kolberg ) - Drawsko Pomorskie ( Dramburg ).

In 1370 Beustrin was transferred to the wife of Hans von Schivelbein (von Wedel) by the Brandenburg Elector. The manor has been inherited from the male line of the Braun family since 1803, when Wilhelm Braun was the owner of the 703 hectare estate.

Until 1945 Beustrin was part of the municipality of Krosino and was incorporated into the office and registry office of Nelep . District court district was Schivelbein . Until 1932 the village belonged to the district of Schivelbein, when it was integrated into the district of Belgard (Persante) . In March 1945, Soviet troops marched into the village. Beustrin came into Polish hands and as Bystrzyna today belongs to the rural community Świdwin in the Powiat Świdwiński.

Ecclesiastically, Beustrin was parish in the parish of Krosino and belonged to the church district Schivelbein ( ecclesiastical province of Pomerania) of the Protestant church of the Old Prussian Union . The church patronage was last held by the landowner Braun. The last German clergyman was Pastor Martin Lüpke.

Today Bystzryna is part of the parish Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Evangelical-Augsburg Church in Poland .
