Krosino (German Grössin ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland and belongs to the rural community ( gmina wiejska ) Świdwin ( Schivelbein ) in the powiat Świdwiński .
Geographical location
Krosino is located on the Voivodship Road No. 162 Kołobrzeg ( Kolberg ) - Drawsko Pomorskie ( Dramsburg ) four kilometers north of Świdwin. The railway station on the Stargard Szczeciński – Gdańsk railway is Świdwin, from where there is also a railway line to Połczyn Zdrój ( Bad Polzin ).
history
As early as 1337, Grössin was mentioned in the Neumark land register. In 1471 Peter von Scharn received the grandmother of Albrecht III. Achilles , the Elector of Brandenburg, assigned as a manor. In 1621 it was bought by the Pomeranian district administrator Lorenz von Wachholz. Numerous changing owners followed until in 1928 Margarethe Seidel became the owner of the estate, which was 501 hectares in size.
In 1925, 464 people lived in 73 houses in Grössin with the associated villages of Ankerholz (Polish: Przymiarki) and Beustrin (Bystrzyna).
Until 1932 the village belonged to the district of Schivelbein, when it was integrated into the district of Belgard (Persante) . Grössin was part of the official and civil registry district Nelep (Nielep) in the district court area of Schivelbein. In 1939 the municipality had 407 inhabitants in 97 households with a total area of 1917.7 hectares. The main line of business was agriculture.
The last mayor before 1945 was Paul Schwandt. Police matters were dealt with by the rural gendarmerie officers Erdmann and Brüske.
With the capture of the Soviet troops on March 3, 1945, a painful time began for the residents, especially because an escape failed because the front was overrun by the front. The expulsion took place in 1945 and 1946. Grössin became Polish and is now part of the rural community of Świdwin in the powiat Świdwiński as Krosino .
Parish Grössin
Parishes
Until 1945 the parishes of Falkenberg , Pribslaff and Grössin formed the parish of Grössin. The parishes were Ankerholz , Balsdrey , Beustrin and Technow . The parish belonged to the church district Schivelbein in the church province of Pomerania of the Protestant Church of the Old Prussian Union .
In 1940 the parish of Grössin had 1293 parishioners, of which 613 belonged to the parish of Grössin. The church patronage was most recently the landowner Margarethe Seidel.
Between March 3, 1945 and April 10, 1946, the Grössin parish had to mourn the deaths of 92 parishioners.
Today Krosino belongs to the parish Koszalin ( Köslin ) in the diocese of Pomerania-Greater Poland of the Polish Evangelical-Augsburg Church .
Parish church
In 1873 the old parish church - a half-timbered building from 1857 - was demolished and a new building made of granite boulders and bricks was erected in its place. Bricks were also used in the construction of the tower. It is covered by a tent roof. In 1875 the inauguration of the new church took place.
