CAF Champions League 2001

The CAF Champions League 2001 began on February 17, 2001 with the preliminary round and ended on December 21, 2001 with the final second leg between al Ahly Cairo from Egypt and Mamelodi Sundowns from South Africa . The winner was al Ahly Cairo, who won the second leg 3-0 after a 1-1 draw in the first leg. This was the third title win by al Ahly Cairo.
