The Cadre 47/1 World Championship 1976 was the third Cadre 47/1 UMB World Championship, which was held in Cadre 45/1 until 1938. The tournament took place from March 25 to 28, 1976 in Mollerusa in the Spanish province of Catalonia. It was the first Cadre 47/1 World Championship in Spain.

The Belgian Raymond Ceulemans won the title at his first Cadre 47/1 participation. It was his 19th world championship title. In the last and decisive game in the sold-out opera, Ceulemans won against defending champion Hans Vultink with a sophisticated tactic of 300: 90 in six recordings. For the German representative Dieter Müller , significantly more was possible in this championship. First he lost the game against the Argentinian Osvaldo Berardi after a 212 series and a 247: 95 lead. The next day he lost to Ceulemans, severely weakened by an upset stomach, with 188: 300 in 11 admissions. Nevertheless, it was the first World Cup medal in Cadre 47/1 for Germany after 40 years. Walter Joachim got the last one in Cadre 45/1 in 1936 in Montpellier. The Frenchman Francis Connesson provided the highlight of the championship . In the match against Hans Vultink he ended the game with a 300 series after a bad shot at breathtaking speed.
