Chandra West

Chandra West (born December 31, 1970 in Edmonton , Alberta ) is a Canadian actress .

Life and accomplishments

West studied acting at Concordia University . She made her debut in a major role in the 1991 Canadian television comedy True Confections , which received three Genie Award nominations a year later . In the horror film Night Terrors (1993) she was seen in a larger role on the side of Robert Englund . In the action films Universal Soldier 2 - Brothers under Arms (1998) and Universal Soldier 3 - Bloody Business (1998) she played the friend of the protagonist Luc Devreux ( Matt Battaglia ).

In the SF thriller Life in a Day (1999) West took on the role of a rapidly aging woman due to a scientific experiment; Another role played in this film Linda Kash . She played one of the leading roles in the comedy Something More (1999); Jennifer Beals can be seen in one of the supporting roles . For this role, West was nominated for the Video Premiere Award in 2001. Another leading role followed in the horror film White Noise - Screams from Beyond (2005). In the drama Badland , she played a restaurant owner who enters into a relationship with a war veteran ( Jamie Draven ) who goes into hiding after his wife ( Vinessa Shaw ) is murdered .

West was listed on Maxim magazine's Hot 100 list in 2002 . She has been married to film producer and director Mark Tinker since 2005 . The actress lives in Los Angeles .
